PolarIce10: Kiting across Greenland
Posted in PolarIce10 | By Marc |
What is the ideal preparation for a trans Antarctic kite trip? Yes, right, crossing the second biggest ice cap of the world: Greenland.
Most South Pole Expeditions prepare in Greenland, so do the guys from the PolarIce10-team, Mike Dann, Tim Tottenham, Simon Edmundson and Paddy Scott. They will kite from the Hahn Glacier (N65°49′ W038°35′) to Ilulissat on the west coast (N69°30′ W51°05′). This link connects you to the polarice10 website.
weather4expeditions.com will support these extreme trips with daily weather updates you can read on these pages. This is the first one, valid for the Hahn Glacier area. Enjoy!
