North Bound Quest and Dixie on the Arctic Ice!

Yesterday, the 2nd of April, the North Bound Quest team and Dixie landed safely on the Arctic ice at the Barneo station.
No time to waste and the went off skiing almost immediately. After their first 4 kilometer on the Arctic Sea ice they pitched up their tents. Their latest position is S89°02′21″ E119°16′43″.
Dixie told me that everyone was in great spirits. The only comment from the team members was “Well, it is really cold up here!”. This is the weather they may expect for the next few days:
